Suitcase

Suitcase é uma exposição-portátil que abarca a proposta de correspondência entre os mestrandos de dois programas de pós-graduação: o Programa de Pós-Graduação em Artes Visuais da Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina, UDESC, e o Master of Fine Arts da Michigan State University, MSU. A mala como dispositivo de instalação de um mundo provisório, a ser transportado, pretende transpor as distâncias físicas e os contextos culturais de Florianópolis, Santa Catarina e East-Lansing, Michigan. Dada a pretensa circularidade das proposições estéticas e afetivas, que nesta primeira fase serão instaladas no espaço expositivo Retiro do Manguezal da UDESC, em Florianópolis, e em uma segunda etapa na Student Gallery da MSU em Michigan, a exposição é uma instalação em processo, marcada pela translocalidade de seu objeto mote, a mala.

[ Suitcase is a portable-exhibition that embraces the correspondence proposal between the masters students of two programs: Post-Graduation Program in Visual Arts of Santa Catarina State University, UDESC, and the Master of Fine Arts of Michigan State University, MSU. The suitcase as installation device of a provisory world, to be transposed, intends to transpose the physical distances and the cultural contexts of Florianopolis, Santa Catarina and East-Lansing, Michigan. Given the pretense circularity of the aesthetic and affective propositions, that in this first stage will be installed in the exhibition space Retiro do Manguezal of UDESC, in Florianopolis, and in a second phase at the Student Gallery of MSU, in Michigan, the exhibition is an installation in process, marked by the translocality of its subject, the suitcase.]
